Julie Eskar, Violin
Born in 1972, Julie Eskar began her violin studies with Michael Malmgren and continued under Professor Milan Vitek of the Royal Academy of Music. She furthered her musical education under Professor Gerhard Schultz at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
Ms. Eskar has participated in several master classes given by such luminaries as Alberto Lysy, Ana Chumachenco, Sylvia Rosenberg, Zacher Bron, Christian Tetzlaff, Ruggero Ricci and Ivry Gitlis, among others.
She has received many prizes and scholarships including the Hvass Foundation Travel Scholarship, the Holstebro Music Prize and the Jacob Gade Music Prize. Ms. Eskar was also awarded the prestigious Aennchen and Eigil Harby Foundation Travel Scholarship following her debut concert from the soloist class of the Royal Academy of Music. She has performed as soloist with several orchestras in Denmark and abroad, including the Copenhagen Philharmonic, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, Belgian Radio Orchestra, Austrian Chamber Philharmonia and the Copenhagen Chamber Soloists.
Ms. Eskar performs on a 1716 David Teccler violin from the Goof Foundation.
Emilie Eskar, Cello
Born in 1975, Emilie Eskar studied with Professor Asger Lund Christiansen and, at the Royal Academy of Music, with Professor Torleif Thedeen. She pursued further studies in the soloist class at the Hochschule fur Musik in Cologne under Professor Frans Helmerson. She has participated in master classes by Ralph Kirshbaum, William Pleeth and Janos Starker, among others. Ms. Eskar has performed as a soloist with the Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Copenhagen Chamber Soloists. She has also been a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Gustave Mahler Youth Orchestra. Ms. Eskar has been awarded several prizes including the Jacob Gade Music Prize and the B. Schroder and H. Finnerup Music Scholarship. Ms. Eskar is currently a member of the Royal Danish Orchestra.

Charlotte Thaning, piano
Born in 1971, Ms. Thaning studied at the Royal Academy of Music after her initial studies with Rosalind Bevan, Amalie Malling and Anne Oland. She has attended master classes with Tatjana Nikolajeva, Istvan Lantos and Helmuth Deutsch. As a soloist, she has performed throughout Denmark and abroad, including several radio broadcasts in Denmark and Belgium. Ms. Thaning is also very active as a Lied accompanist and has been awarded many prizes and scholarships, including the Ester Vagning Scholarship and has twice received the Victor Scholer Honorary Scholarship.
